Covergirl Queen Collection.

I've said it before, and have no problem saying it again: The Covergirl Queen Collection is EVERYTHING. The rich, deep, long-lasting hues are so on point. I never have to worry about apply over and over again. Once that color glides on, it's there to stay! With so many beautiful shades to choose from I always have a tough tine choosing. See Red is my favorite for now. It gives a cool vibrant - not over the top orange. One of my girls on twitter took my advice and tried the Queen Collection. Let's just say, she is in love with her purchases. Luxury lipstick for under $10 bucks.

Naked Palette.

For years, I've heard about how simply amazing the naked palette by Urban Decay was. Makeup artists, beauty guru's and glam divas all swear by it! On a recent trip to my local Ulta store, my eyes locked with the palette on display. The moment was something out of a movie. The world completely stopped. All of the shades were so beautiful. Now, I do realize that the naked palette 2 is the newest edition, However, the hues were very similar to the first with alot more shimmer. I'm more of a traditional gal so I stuck with the classic.

Contents: 12 beautiful eyeshadow hues; urban decay's primer potion, along with a fabulous shadow brush for application.

I wanted to swatch a few of my several shades so that you all can get a great idea of the pigmentation. These are all with just ONE swipe.

From left to right: Creep, Gunmetal, Toasted, Halfbaked..

The awesome Naked Palette...

P.S. It also comes with Urban Decay's miracle working Primer potion. The absolute best out there!

Spring polish + Boho braids

This past weekend I took a trip to Jacksonville, Florida. I partially grew up there and consider it home. The entire three days were nothing short of amazing. Anyway I promised to post a photo of my boho braids once they were installed. However, the new new braid look is not that attractive to me. I like them to loosen up and fall to a more natural looking state. They've been in over for a month now, and it was the best decision for a low maintenance gal like myself. The versatility/freedom is exactly what i was looking to achieve.

While in Florida, I wanted a bright nail color. And since I bought a few new Essie shades I tried out a boho flavor, turqoise and caicos. It looks slighly different on me than in the bottle, but I'm pretty sure it's because of my complexion. Although I loved it all the same. My favorite thing about Essie polishes is that within one swipe you can see the true shade instantly. And with the top coat added, chipping is non existent.
