The ultra cool, hip, BETH DITTO debuted her new clothing line in conjunction with EVANS a few months back. At first I wasn't sure if i liked any of the pieces or if I was only being biased because I dig Ditto. She's an individuval who created a lane for herself in a world where that's usually not accepted. Being a full figured gal myself, that totally inspired me. Although our styles are a lil different, I appreciate what she's done and I'll definitely be purchasing a few items for the upcoming Fall/Winter seasons.

I understand that money can't buy you love, health or true friends. Many of those with lower self esteem attempt to compensate $$$ signs for other things that are missing in their lives. It's not about that with me. Now don't get me wrong, I love nice things, taking trips, etc. I'd like to own a beautiful house one day and stay draped in Italian/French designers, give back to my family and community; you get the drift. As long as you keep GOD 1st in everything you do, there is absolutely nothing wrong with living a comfortable life. I have so many dreams, goals and aspirations that I've been working towards and I know one day everything will smooth itself out. Regardless of past setbacks I've never steered away from my life's focus. In my opinion, that's the most important aspect. See, I do this not only for myself but for everyone around me! I win, we ALL win. So I can't lose baby.

I truly believe people are in your life for seasons & reasons. I also think that in order to learn certain important life lessons, you must meet these people. But once the study is complete, you move on. Sometimes I wonder, "what happened?", "How is this person doing?" "Why did we fall apart?" Then I realize that everyone who is in my life is supposed to be there and has BEEN there for the majority of my ups & downs. That's why I formed a pact with myself many years ago that i'd never have resentment in my heart towards an individuval just because we didn't work out. Whether it was a friend, ex love interest, etc. You can't hold grudges and expect to be a happy, successful person in the long run. With that said, THANK YOU to everyone who has come and gone. Some of you taught me things I couldn't have learned any other way. I'm greatly appreciative.

I adore a creamy RED lip. It's hot, scorching, fashionable and makes you stand out in any crowd. Yet, I'm partial to plowing into my makeup bag for a bright pink hue instead. why? Well, pink gives off a playful, approachable and fun type of vibe.


Revlon, MAC, Urban Decay & Estee Lauder are a few of my faves. If you're looking for a lustrous lip, i'd suggest to start off with a lipstick and follow with a glaze of gloss. Always apply a bit of concealer on your pout prior so the color will last all day.

See, i'm a natural born dreamer. I have one of the most vivid, bright imaginations of anyone i know. At any given moment, you can catch me drifting into outer space. Maybe that's why i love to write, because there are no limits to where i can go. And i can always hit the backspace button, write in pencil or simply ball the sheet of paper up and throw it away if i make a mistake.

Love is much different..

Once the mistakes are made, you have to deal with them. There is no delete/edit key.


I mean.... If love is such a beautiful event, then why do some have to work so hard to keep the passion and excitement going? I think sometimes we plan the perfect man/woman, but somewhere along the road seem to forget no one is without flaw, including myself. We all bad habits, rough days and imperfections.

Thats REALITY.

You'll most likely see me reference him often on this blog. I really enjoy learning more about this talented man. He pushed the envelope in so many artistic ways.

Say what you will about Miss Cassie, but the girl is D.O.P.E. Her look is always put together in a edgy way that screams high fashion yet "around the way girl."
